Under Sri Nishan Sahib, Punjab Vidhan Sabha Set for First Ever Session Outside Chandigarh Under Sri Nishan Sahib, First ever in history of Punjab, The temporary Punjab Vidhan Sabha (Assembly) complex in Sri Anandpur Sahib has been arranged with the Speaker’s seat placed directly below the Sri Nishan Sahib that already stands at the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial. Officials said the seating plan has been aligned with the sanctity of the site as Punjab prepares for a historic step. On November 24, 2025 the Vidhan Sabha will meet here for its 10th special session, becoming the first session in the state’s history to be held outside Chandigarh. The session will start at one in the afternoon and will run alongside the state level programme marking the three day commemoration of the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan has declared the entire memorial complex as the official precinct of a temporary Vidhan Sabha. All rules and procedures of the House will apply here as they do in the main Assembly building in Chandigarh.
