Jasjit Singh steps into his new role as Joint Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar, bringing fresh leadership to the civic body.

Jasjit Singh, PCS, has assumed the role of Joint Commissioner at the Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar, following directives from the Department of Personnel (IAS Branch), Government of Punjab.
Prior to this posting, Jasjit Singh, PCS was serving as Chief Minister’s Field Officer, Rupnagar. In his previous assignments, he has been associated with field administration and implementation of key government programmes, bringing valuable experience in governance and public service.
He was handling grievances of the District Rupnagar and was also handed over assignments related to Holla Mohalla, coordination for Procurement of Wheat and Paddy and the Special Session of Punjab Vidhan Sabha held at Sri Anandpur Sahib on the occasion of 350th Martyrdom Year of Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
As Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation SAS Nagar, he will play a crucial role in strengthening urban governance, improving civic services, and supporting ongoing development initiatives in the fast-growing city of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar.
The post is central to coordination of municipal branches and implementation of policies aimed at better sanitation, infrastructure, and citizen-centric service delivery in the Corporation area.
