Amritsar (Punjab), December 8, 2025: In a major development at Sri Akal Takht Sahib, former Akali leader Virsa Singh Valtoha has been formally granted apology by the Panj Singh Sahibaan.
During an important meeting convened on Monday, the Five Sikh High Priests reviewed the earlier decision taken against Valtoha over his remarks against former Jathedar Harpreet Singh and the alleged circulation of an audio clip involving Jathedar Raghubir Singh.
After deliberation, the Sri Akal Takht decided to withdraw the 10-year ban that had barred him from working within the Shiromani Akali Dal.
Following the announcement, Acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj read out the decisions, confirming that Valtoha has also been assigned a religious punishment (Tankhah) as part of the reconciliation process.
Valtoha personally appeared at the Sri Takht Sahib, sought forgiveness for his past actions. His apology was accepted, formally closing this chapter of dispute.
