Mohali Election Results: AAP wins in Majri block; Congress in Mullanpur

Mohali/Kharar, December 17, 2025: The trends and results of the vote counting for the Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections in Mohali district have begun to emerge. In the first major results from the district, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) registered a decisive victory in Majri Block, while the Congress opened its account in Mullanpur, Kharar.
The contest in both zones proved to be interesting, with the AAP and Congress defeating their respective opponents.
The results from the Gobindgarh police station zone under Majri Block have been declared. Aam Aadmi Party candidate Jasmeet Kaur emerged victorious with a strong performance, defeating her nearest rival from the Shiromani Akali Dal by a margin of 1,031 votes.
While Jasmeet Kaur secured a comfortable win, the Akali Dal candidate managed to garner only 630 votes, further strengthening the AAP’s hold on the seat.
Meanwhile, the Congress made a comeback by winning the Mullanpur zone of Kharar. Congress candidate Satish Kumar was declared the winner after securing 701 votes, while AAP candidate Kamaljit, his closest rival, received 527 votes.
