The District President of Aam Aadmi Party's Amritsar city unit and Chairman of PUNSUP (Punjab), Prabhbir Singh Brar, announced in a press statement that three significant bridges are being constructed in Amritsar under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
These bridges are being built at New Amritsar, Sultanwind Chowk, and the Tarn Taran flyover, and they are expected to bring a major improvement to the city's traffic system.
Brar shared that the New Amritsar Bridge will help alleviate the long traffic jams frequently experienced on the Amritsar–Jalandhar road. The Sultanwind Bridge will provide significant convenience to devotees traveling to Shaheedan Sahib every Sunday.
Additionally, after the construction of the fourth leg of the Tarn Taran flyover bridge, travelers coming from Jalandhar will no longer need to pass through the city. Instead, they will be able to take a direct route to Jhabal from the outskirts.
Chairman Prabhir Brar stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government is placing special focus on infrastructure development, and these three bridges will prove to be a major boon for Amritsar.
Brar mentioned that keeping the needs of the city in mind, the government is also working on several other projects.
Brar said Amritsar development projects will be prioritized to accelerate city improvements, ensuring better facilities and smoother traffic for residents.
