ANTF arrests two including woman with ICE drug; Hunt on for ‘Big Fish’ in supply network
Ferozepur, January 13, 2026: Under the Punjab Government’s decisive anti-drug campaign “Yudh Nashian Virudh”, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Ferozepur Range, has achieved a major breakthrough against the menace of synthetic drugs with the arrest of two alleged high-profile smugglers and the recovery of a substantial quantity of methamphetamine (ICE).
The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of AIG ANTF Ferozepur Range Gurinderbir Singh and the field leadership of DSP Prithipal Singh. Acting on credible intelligence, ANTF teams executed a meticulously planned operation, leading to the arrest of the accused and seizure of contraband.
AIG ANTF said, the arrested accused have been identified as Raj Singh alias Raju, son of Mal Singh, resident of Hazara Ram Singh Wala, Jalalabad, and Nisha Rani, daughter of Prem Singh, resident of Lakha Kadahi (Lakhe Ke Uttar), Police Station Sadar Fazilka.
During the operation, the ANTF recovered 512 grams of methamphetamine (ICE), a highly addictive synthetic drug. A black Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle bearing registration number PB 61 E 7213 was also seized.
According to investigation findings, accused Nisha Rani had been strategically based in Mohali for the past few months. During this period, she was employed at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, and was residing in a paying guest (PG) accommodation. The ANTF is probing whether her professional position and stay in the PG were being used as a cover to facilitate the distribution of high-value synthetic drugs like ICE in urban areas.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 8 dated January 8, 2026, under Section 22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station ANTF, SAS Nagar. Police officials said a deep investigation is underway to identify the “big fish” involved in the drug supply chain and to trace the financial trail of the drug proceeds.
