Ferozepur Division’s 10 officials among 92 recipients of Distinguished Rail Service Awards
Ferozepur, January 15, 2026: Northern Railway organised the Distinguished Rail Service Awards-2025 at the National Rail Museum, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, on Wednesday. Northern Railway General Manager Ashok Kumar Verma honoured 92 railway officers and employees with Distinguished Rail Service Awards and also presented shields to various divisions for outstanding performance in different categories including 10 from Ferozepur Rail Division.
Northern Railway presents Distinguished Rail Service Awards every year in two categories—individual awards for dedication, hard work and exceptional contribution, and running shields to divisions based on overall performance and achievements in various fields.
The ceremony was attended by Additional General Manager Mohit Chandra, heads of departments, Divisional Railway Managers of all Northern Railway divisions, senior officers, staff members, representatives of unions, associations and federations, and members of the Northern Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation.
The event began with the General Manager felicitating 92 railway personnel for their exemplary service. From the Ferozepur Division, 10 officers and employees were conferred with the Distinguished Rail Service (Individual) Award. Based on performance benchmarks, running shields were also awarded by the General Manager.
The Ferozepur Division emerged as the sole winner in some categories and joint winner in others. The division won the Rail Madad Shield (Single Winner), Environment and Cleanliness Shield (Single Winner) and Sales Management Shield (Single Winner). It was also declared Joint Winner for the Civil Engineering Track Shield (with Ambala Division), Operating Coaching Shield (with Lucknow Division), Operating Freight Management Shield (with Delhi Division) and Telecommunication Performance Shield (with Ambala Division).
Congratulating the officers and staff, the General Manager praised Northern Railway’s achievements in key operational areas and extended congratulations to all award winners and their families. He said the awardees had performed their duties with dedication and excellence, setting high standards of service.
