77th Republic Day celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at CGC University Mohali

Mohali (Punjab), January 27, 2026: CGC University Mohali celebrated India's 77th Republic Day with immense grandeur and patriotic spirit. On this occasion, the entire campus was drenched in the colors of national pride, unity, and democratic spirit. The event served as a magnificent tribute to the values of the Indian Constitution and the unwavering faith in the Republic.
Colonel Daljit Singh Cheema (Retd.) graced the special occasion as the Chief Guest. His inspiring presence added prestige to the event and further strengthened the spirit of discipline, leadership, and national service among the students.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the Tricolour. As the national flag unfurled in the sky, the surroundings echoed with the National Anthem, filling the air with patriotism and reverence. The main highlight of the event was the spectacular parade by the NCC Cadets.
Their disciplined march and brilliant formations captivated everyone, symbolizing the commitment and integrity of our youth toward the nation. Addressing the gathering, the University leadership highlighted the significance of the Republic, equality, justice, and liberty.
They urged students to channel their energy and intellect toward building a progressive, inclusive, and ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). This day serves as a reminder of India’s extraordinary journey from colonial rule to constitutional sovereignty.
CGC University reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing responsible citizens who safeguard democratic values and contribute to nation-building. The event concluded with a firm pledge to serve the country and many proud memories.
