Abohar (Punjab), March 28, 2026: Panic and anger are mounting in Abohar as incidents involving stray dogs continue to surge. In a shocking case from the Sarabha Nagar area, a one-year-old child, Armaan, was brutally attacked by a stray dog, leaving him seriously injured.
According to information, the toddler was near his home in the street when a stray dog suddenly pounced on him. The animal inflicted severe injuries on the child’s face and forehead.
Family members rushed him to the civil hospital, where doctors administered treatment and stitched his wounds.
The incident has triggered widespread fear among residents. What has further intensified concern is that nearly 100 dog bite cases have reportedly been recorded in the city over the past two days alone.
Locals have expressed strong resentment against the authorities, alleging that despite a growing population of stray dogs in the area, no concrete action has been taken by the municipal corporation or administration. Residents are demanding an immediate drive to capture stray dogs and a long-term solution to prevent such incidents in the future, warning that more innocent lives could be at risk if urgent steps are not taken.
