Class 10 student dies by suicide in Gurugram

Gurugram (Haryana), March 31, 2026: A 15-year-old Class 10 student allegedly died by suicide in Farrukhnagar area of Gurugram, leaving his family in deep shock and grief.
The deceased has been identified as Akash, who reportedly hanged himself using his mother’s scarf inside the staff quarters of a private school where his family resides. His father, Prabhat, works as a peon in the same school, while his mother is employed in a private company.
Originally from Saran district, the family had been living in the school premises for nearly 15 years. The incident occurred in their room within the staff quarters.
Police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. The exact reasons behind the extreme step are yet to be ascertained.
