MP Satnam Singh Sandhu Joins Special Prayers for World Peace, Brotherhood & India’s Prosperity During Easter Celebrations at Christ Church CNI in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, April 5, 2026:A delegation of the Indian Minorities Federation (IMF), led by Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and IMF Convenor Satnam Singh Sandhu, joined members of the Christian community in Easter celebrations at Christ Church CNI in Sector 18, Chandigarh, spreading the message of peace, unity, and communal harmony on the sacred occasion marking the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The special prayers and Mass, led by Rev. Rajan Sharda, Presbyter In-charge, Christ Church CNI, were attended by a large number of congregants, including singers, teachers, lawyers, entrepreneurs, bureaucrats, and people from all walks of life. Families, youth, and children also participated in the celebrations, which featured special Easter carols commemorating the Resurrection.
MP Satnam Singh Sandhu joined a special prayer for world peace. During the prayers, members of the Christian community expressed concern over ongoing global conflicts and wars, noting that these have created uncertainty and caused suffering in many parts of the world.
They prayed to Jesus Christ for the restoration of peace and brotherhood, and for relief from the hardships faced by people across the globe.
Extending his warm wishes to the Christian community, Sandhu said, “Happy Easter to everyone. The eternal message of Jesus Christ’s resurrection is that compassion is stronger than hatred and truth triumphs over evil. His teachings guide humanity and inspire us to follow the path of love and sacrifice. May this festival of joy and hope bring peace, harmony, and prosperity to all.”
On the occasion, Rev. Rajan Sharda said, “Since 2014, India has witnessed leadership focused on inclusive development through the vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas.’ This leadership has helped India emerge as a strong nation globally. I hope the country continues on this path of growth and soon becomes an economic superpower.”
Members of the Christian community also highlighted India’s role in promoting global peace, noting that the country has consistently advocated dialogue and diplomacy to resolve ongoing conflicts. They said the teachings of Jesus Christ are reflected in India’s approach to global engagement.
Referring to conflict regions such as West Asia, community members expressed confidence that India’s leadership can play a decisive role in promoting stability and fostering a new era of global peace and progress. They added that India’s global image has strengthened in recent years, instilling a sense of pride among citizens.
