“Waqt-e-Rukhsat” farewell ceremony held at DSCW
Ferozepur, April 16, 2026: A grand farewell ceremony titled “Waqt-e-Rukhsat” was organised by the Central Association of Dev Samaj College for Women, Ferozepur, in the college auditorium to bid adieu to the final-year students. The event was marked by a mix of joy and emotional moments as the outgoing students were given a warm and memorable send-off.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Dr Sangeeta said that the day reflects a blend of happiness and separation, as students who have been an integral part of the institution are stepping into a new phase of life. She emphasised that education is not limited to books but also plays a vital role in shaping a good human being. She expressed confidence that the students would bring pride to their parents, teachers, and the institution through their achievements.
The farewell ceremony featured vibrant cultural performances by students, including songs, dances, and entertaining skits, adding colour and enthusiasm to the occasion. Students dressed in beautiful traditional and cultural attire, making the event lively and memorable.
A fashion contest was also organised, where Balwant Kaur was crowned “Miss Farewell,” while Harmanpreet Kaur secured the first runner-up position and Sukhmani was declared the second runner-up. The judging panel comprised senior faculty members.
The program was efficiently hosted by the students themselves, while Mrs Simranpreet Kaur served as the coordinator of the event. The entire college staff was present on the occasion and extended their best wishes to the students for their bright future.
