ANTF busts drug racket, seizes 4.5 kg heroin in two Ops, three held
Ferozepur, April 18, 2026: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, the ANTF Ferozepur Range has arrested three accused and recovered over 4.5 kg of heroin in two separate operations, dealing a significant blow to narcotics networks.

DSP Bhupinder Singh of ANTF stated that in the first operation, two individuals—Harpal Singh alias Bhala, a resident of Village Anaitpura under Police Station Ajnala, Amritsar, and Shamsher Singh alias Shera, a resident of Village Mallu Nangal under Police Station Raja Sansi, Amritsar—were apprehended. The police recovered 2 kg 37 grams of heroin along with an Innova Crysta (PB02DV1919) from their possession. An FIR No. 77 under Section 21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at ANTF Police Station, and further investigation is underway to trace the backward and forward linkages in the supply chain.
In another operation, the ANTF team intercepted a drone-linked heroin consignment, leading to the arrest of Supanpreet Singh alias Supan, a resident of Village Pritam Singh Wala, Dakhli Palha Megha, under Police Station Sadar Ferozepur. The team recovered 2.487 kg of heroin along with packing material and radium strips, suspected to be used for nighttime drone deliveries. In this connection, FIR No. 78 dated April 16, 2026, has been registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at ANTF Police Station, SAS Nagar.
The DSP added that investigations are ongoing to uncover the entire network and identify the main suppliers. These successful operations underline ANTF Ferozepur Range’s continued commitment to dismantling drug trafficking syndicates and breaking the chain of supply.
