  Chandigarh, April 29, 2026: Renowned wrestler Pritpal Singh Phagwara, a recipient of prestigious titles like Rustam-e-Hind and Hind Kesari, has joined the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), marking his entry into active politics.
  
  Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally welcomed the sportsperson into the party and extended his best wishes for his new political journey.
  
  Mann said that Pritpal Singh was inspired by the AAP government’s work-focused politics and vision for the state.
