New Delhi, May 3, 2026 (ANI): MP Sandeep Pathak has said he has no information about two FIRs reportedly filed against him in Punjab, even as television channels continue to run reports on the matter.
Addressing the issue, the Rajya Sabha MP stated that he has neither received any formal nor informal communication regarding the FIRs. He added that he has been waiting since yesterday to obtain a copy so he can respond appropriately.
Pathak suggested that if the FIRs have indeed been registered, it could be a case of misuse of government machinery, but maintained that he would only be able to give a detailed response after reviewing the documents.
Emphasising his political conduct, Pathak said those who have worked with him are aware that he adheres to principles and integrity. He noted that his approach has remained consistent throughout his political journey, including his earlier association with the Aam Aadmi Party.
Now a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Pathak said he would continue to uphold the same values, regardless of political outcomes. He stressed that success or failure in politics does not matter to him as much as maintaining his “political dharma.”
Clarifying his shift from AAP to BJP, Pathak said the decision was not driven by personal reasons but stemmed from long-standing ideological and working differences.
