New Delhi, May 8, 2026: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday lauded the work and leadership of Harmeet Singh Kalka, describing his contribution towards social and religious service as “inspiring” and beneficial for society.
Addressing a public function in the national capital, the Chief Minister said Harmeet Singh Kalka has consistently worked “shoulder to shoulder” with the Delhi Government and has played an important role in strengthening social harmony and serving the Sikh community through collective efforts.
Referring to the 350th martyrdom anniversary celebrations of Guru Tegh Bahadur held last year, Rekha Gupta said the event gave her an opportunity to closely observe the functioning of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee.
She said the committee, under the leadership of Harmeet Singh Kalka, demonstrated a highly organised, dedicated and united approach in serving society and promoting Sikh values.
“The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is not limited to religious activities alone but is also playing a vital role in strengthening social unity and keeping communities connected,” the Chief Minister said.
Rekha Gupta further stated that she has remained impressed by the committee’s work since witnessing its functioning during the commemorative events and congratulated Harmeet Singh Kalka on behalf of the Delhi Government.
She also extended her best wishes to the DSGMC President for continued success in his future initiatives and public service efforts.
