AAP emerges leading party in Nakodar MC (1:05 pm)

Nakodar (Punjab), May 29, 2026: The ruling Aam Aadmi Party emerged as the single largest party in the Nakodar Municipal Council elections as results for all 17 wards were declared on Thursday.
According to the final tally, the Aam Aadmi Party secured 7 seats in the civic body elections.
The Indian National Congress won 4 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party managed to secure 1 seat.
The Shiromani Akali Dal failed to open its account in the municipal council, while other candidates, including independents, won 5 seats.
