AAP registers massive win in Dhuri, takes 20 of 21 MC seats (1:15 pm)

Dhuri (Punjab), May 29, 2026: The ruling Aam Aadmi Party scored a massive victory in the Dhuri Municipal Council elections, winning 20 out of 21 wards in the civic body polls.
The results were declared on Friday as counting for Punjab’s local body elections continued amid tight security arrangements across the state.
Dhuri, located in Sangrur district, holds major political significance as it is the Assembly constituency represented by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann.
The party’s dominant performance in the town is being viewed as a strong endorsement of the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and a major political boost for the ruling AAP in his home constituency.
