Chandigarh, July 19 : The Core Committee of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) today conducted thorough deliberations regarding the grave and disastrous assault made by the Congress Government in Haryana on the Sikh Gurdwara Act 1925 and the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) by constituting separate committee for the management of Gurdwaras in the state. Giving the opening remarks in the meeting the Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Parkash Singh Badal apprised the committee members about the discussions which had held with the Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modiand other central leaders on this issue. He informed that the Union Home Ministry had after consulting the Attorney General of India written a letter to the Chief Secretary of Haryana that the Act regarding the constitution of separate committee was gross violation of the Indian constitution and the Haryana Assembly has been misled in this regard as the state assembly do not have powers to pass this Act. Likewise, a separate letter had been written to the Haryana Governor by the Union government directing him to withdraw the assent given to this contentious act. The Core committee, while taking serious note of the divisive action of the Haryana government, expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by the Union government to check it. The Committee said that Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda seems to have forgotten that the Sikhs across the globe shared alineage of blood as they were all children of the tenth Master Guru Gobind Singh ji could not be divided through such tantrums. Hooda was mistaken if thought that he could divide the Sikh power by passing this unconstitutional act but he seems to have forgotten that the forefathers of Sikhs living in the present day Haryana had made maximum sacrifices for the formation of SGPC during the British Raj. Hooda had also forgotten that the Sikh brethren in Haryana were committed not to the Hooda’s Congress government but to the sacred Guru Granth Sahib and Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Like their brethren throughout the world, the Sikhs of Haryana were devout followers of their faith and were committed to the principles of Sikhism. They were were fully conscious of their religious duties , One of these duties was was to look after the seva sambhaal ( performing religious ervices) at their shrinesa right for which countless Sikhs had sacrificed their precious lives to constitute the modern day SGPC. The Haryana Sikhs and their forefathers had been in the forefront of making supreme sacrifices for earning this right for Khalsa Panth. The glorious history of these supreme sacrifices was very long and the Sikh history passed through various phases from Babe di Bel Da Morcha to Jaito da Morcha and then Gurdwara Reforms Movement to Nankana Sahib da Morcha. Every child of the Sikhs was and would be proud of this rich cultural legacy till the time immortal. But the Congress government in Haryana has made a direct assault on the Sikhs without taking any lesson from the misdeeds of the Mughals and Britishers. A large number of invaders had attacked the Sikh Shrines with their forces and even some of them tried to took their control through Mahants and Masands. Even the Congress government of the Gandhi family gave fatal blow to Sikh psyche by attacking these Sikh shrines with tanks and mortars. And now under the patronage of his master Sonia Gandhi, the Haryana Chief Minister was following the footsteps of his party and the Britishers by trying to take control of the Gurdwaras in Haryana. But while doing so he had made mockery of the Indian Constitution. By passing an unconstitutional law the Haryana government had declared all the Sikh shrines as government property and entire money offered by the devotees would go in government treasury. This Act of the Haryana government was not at all tolerable as the Hooda government had presented it in a form of Money Bill, which clearly means that the money offered by pilgrims in the Sikh shrines would not be the sacrred part of the the Sikh shrines but would become a part of the government treasury in Haryana.. An attempt was being made to hand over the management of Sikh shrines not in the hands of elected representatives of the Sikhs but in hands of the officials of the state government. This is an hour of serious crisis for the Sikh quom and the entire Sikh community all over the world was deeply concerned about it. Ever since its inception the Congress has been opposing the Sikh tenets and carrying forward this legacy Hooda, has under the pressure of Sonia Gandhi, dared the Sikhs by interfering in their religious matters. The Sikhs accept this challenge of Hooda. The Core Committee impressed upon the Government of India to follow up its legitimate action declaring the Haryana Action unconstitutional and to of take necessary steps for the annulment of this unconstitutional Act of the Haryana Government. Further course of action of the quom will be decided and announced at the A Massive Panthic Convention to be held | at Sri Manji Haall, at Sri Darbar Sahib in Amritsar on July 27 at 10 am,. Sikhs from all over the world will takepart in this Panthic convention. Apart from S Parkash SIngh Badal and Sardar Sukhbir SIngh Badal, those who attended the core committee include Sardar Sukhdev Singh Dinds, S Ranjit SIngh Brahampura, S Balwinder SIngh Bhunder, Sardar Charanjt SIngh Atwal, S Sewa Singh Sekhwan, S Janmeja SIngh Sekhon, Jathedar Tota Singh, Sardar Sikandar Singh Malooka, Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, S Balwant SIngh Ramoowalia, S.Prrem Singh Chandumajra, S Sucha Singh Langah, S Mahesh Inder SIngh Grewal and S Harcharan SIngh Bains.
