Chandigarh, January 29, 2017: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address a mammoth election rally in support of Akali-BJP candidates in Kotkapura tomorrow, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will be touring Punjab onJanuary 29 to boost the prospects of BJP for Punjab Assembly elections. In his one-day whirlwind tour the senior party leader will canvass for party candidates in Hoshiarpur, Phagwara and Raja Sansi.
Sharing the details of Jaitley’s rapid tour, state party secretary Vineet Joshi said, “Arun Jaitley Singh ji will be reaching Hoshiarpur on Sunday morning and will address a public meeting there for party’s candidate Tikshan Sood. The Union Finance Minister will then depart for Phagwara where he will campaign for Som Parkash, the party’s nominee. He will then fly to Raja Sansi to canvass for Veer Singh Lopoke. Later, the senior party leader will sum up his tour in Amritsar after a meeting with party Councillors at Khanna Smarak”.
Besides, BJP national spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi will be addressing press conferences in Ludhiana and Jalandhar on Sunday, January 29.
