MLA Sanjay Talwar inaugurates COVID vaccination site at Greenland School
VISITS MOTHER CHILD HOSPITAL (MCH) VARDHMAN, REVIEWS ARRANGEMENTS OF COVID PATIENTS
Ludhiana, May 15, 2021: In a move to further ramp up the COVID vaccination drive for covering the eligible in the shortest possible time, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Sanjay Talwar on Saturday inaugurated a new inoculation site in the Greenland School on Chandigarh Road, here. He was also accompanied by SDM Dr Baljinder Singh Dhillon, MC Joint Commissioner Kulpreet Singh, besides several others.
While speaking to media persons on the occasion, MLA Talwar said that vaccination is only a big weapon in the war against infectious disease and told that speedy coverage of the eligible beneficiaries will help to stop the transmission chain of the virus by creating herd immunity.
MLA told that the Capt Amarinder Singh led Punjab Government is working on war footing mode to contain the deadly second wave of the pandemic and health infrastructure has been scaled up to ensure the best treatment for every COVID patient.
Meanwhile, he also took stock of the arrangements in MCH Vardhman and directed the officials to leave no stone unturned to ensure patients do not face any kind of problem.
He said that there is no dearth of oxygen, vital medicines and others with the administration and officials are working round the clock to facilitate the patients. Maintaining suitable distancing, Talwar also went to meet the patients undergoing treatment in the hospital.
MLA appealed to the people to fulfil their social responsibility by adhering to COVID protocols including wearing mask properly, social distancing and hand hygiene. He said that people must support the government in this war against the invisible enemy and should obey the guidelines of the government imposed to curb the spread of the pathogen.
