Mohali: Police install road reflectors to prevent accidents during foggy season
Babushahi Bureau
SAS Nagar (Punjab), December 19, 2025: In an effort to reduce road accidents during the foggy winter season, the district police have installed reflectors at various locations as part of ongoing road safety measures.
The initiative was carried out under the directions of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, Harmandeep Singh Hans, and Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Navneet Singh Mahal.
The operation was executed under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Karnail Singh, with the support of various non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Addressing the public on the occasion, DSP (Traffic) Karnail Singh said that the fog season has already begun and urged motorists to regularly check their vehicle lights and get any defects rectified immediately.
He also appealed to vehicle owners to install reflectors on their vehicles to improve visibility during low-visibility conditions.
He further advised that in case of any technical fault, vehicles should be safely parked on the roadside with parking lights switched on. These precautionary measures, he said, would significantly help in reducing fog-related accidents and in saving valuable lives.
