Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) launches Project Sewa for flood relief

Jalandhar (Punjab), September 11, 2025: Punjab Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), under its social outreach initiative, has launched Project Sewa to extend timely support to families affected by the recent floods in Punjab.
For the past week, PIMS has been mobilizing medical teams, essential medicines, and health check-up camps in flood-hit areas. The initiative is aimed at providing urgent medical aid, preventive healthcare, and emotional support to those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and sense of security.
Highlighting the mission behind the project, the PIMS management said:
“True to our commitment of serving society, Project Sewa is our humble effort to stand beside the people of Punjab in this hour of need. Our doctors, nurses, and volunteers are dedicated to ensuring that no family is left without care during this crisis.”
The relief drive under Project Sewa include free medical camps in the worst-affected villages, Distribution of essential medicines and first-aid kits, Awareness sessions on prevention of water-borne diseases, Support for children and elderly requiring special care.
Several individuals and organizations have already extended their support to PIMS in this initiative, with active backing from the District Administration.
The institute has appealed to more organizations, institutions, and well-wishers to join hands in strengthening this mission of compassion and service.
