11 MRSAFPI cadets clear NDA, other premier defence academies
289 cadets have joined defence training institutions so far: Aman Arora

Chandigarh, January 27, 2026: The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar, has once again brought laurels to Punjab with 11 of its cadets securing admission to the National Defence Academy (NDA) and other premier defence training academies over the past one month.
Punjab Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister Aman Arora said the achievement reflects the Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government’s sustained commitment to grooming young talent for the armed forces.

He informed that since its inception, a total of 289 cadets from MRSAFPI have joined various defence training academies across the country.
Congratulating the successful cadets, the minister wished them a bright future and urged them to work with dedication, discipline and integrity to become exemplary officers serving the nation.
Providing details, Aman Arora said eight cadets have been selected for the NDA’s 155th Course. These include Vishvaroop Singh Grewal and Bhaskar Jain from Ludhiana, Apardeep Singh Sawhney from Patiala, Paramdeep Singh from Pathankot, Rehaan Yadav from Bathinda, Sukhpreet Singh from Sangrur, and Prince Kumar Dubey and Shaurya Vardhan Singh from Jalandhar.
Cadet Gurkirat Singh from Ropar district has joined the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, for the 117th Course. Meanwhile, Gurnoor Singh from Bathinda has been selected for the Cadets Training Wing (CTW) at the Military College of Electronics and Mechanical Engineering (MCEME), Secunderabad, while Akash Singh Kushwaha from Jalandhar has joined the CTW at the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering (MCTE), Mhow, under the Technical Entry Scheme (TES)-54 Course.
