AAP sweeps Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections (12.32 PM)

Chandigarh, December 18, 2025: Aam Admi Party (AAP) has registered impressive victory in Zila Parishad and Block Samiti elections in the state.
According to latest data of results at 12.30 PM, 314 seats out of total 347 Zila Parishad seats, AAP won 198 seats, Congress won 55 and Akali Dal won 47 seats whereas BJP won 4 seats and on 10 seats Independents won.
In Block Samiti results 2619 out of total 2838, AAP won in 1592, Congress in 490, Akali Dal on 313, BJP 56 and 168 seats were won by Independents.
