Bikram Majithia bail hearing today; Here what happened in Court

Mohali (Punjab), August 13, 2025: Senior Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, facing charges in a disproportionate assets case, will have to wait longer for bail. After over two hours of intense arguments on Wednesday, the court reserved its decision until Thursday.
During the hearing, both Majithia’s legal team and government counsel presented detailed arguments. Majithia’s wife, Ganieve Kaur Majithia, was also present in the courtroom.
The judge directed both sides to conclude their submissions by tomorrow to enable a verdict.Majithia was arrested by the Punjab Vigilance Bureau on June 25 from his Amritsar residence and has been lodged in Nabha Jail since.
He has consistently maintained that his arrest is a “political conspiracy.” All eyes are now on Thursday’s proceedings to see whether he will secure bail or face a longer wait.
