Breaking: After Operation Sindoor, India closed 9 border Airports

Chandigarh, May 7, 2025: India has taken a big step to further strengthen security after the successful execution of Operation Sindoor in Pakistan. By May 10, 9 major border airports of the country have been closed.
Airports that were closed:
Bhuj, Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, Jodhpur, Chandigarh, Rajkot and Jamnagar airports have been temporarily closed. This step has been taken for security reasons.
Decision taken in view of security:
The Indian government has taken this decision keeping in mind the increasing tension with Pakistan and border security. Security arrangements at these airports will be ensured at the highest level.
How long will it remain closed:
These airports will remain closed till May 10, and the government has appealed to passengers for cooperation during this temporary closure.
