Jagroop Singh Sekhwan recently held a significant meeting with Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora to discuss the development of Dhariwal, Qadian, and the surrounding areas. The meeting focused on addressing the long-standing needs of the region and outlining future development plans to improve infrastructure and create opportunities for residents.
Reviving Industrial Development and Employment Opportunities
One of the primary topics of discussion was the revitalization of industrial development, particularly through the revival of the Dhariwal Woolen Mill. This initiative is expected to generate new employment opportunities for the youth, providing them with stable livelihoods while contributing to economic growth. The reopening of this mill could serve as a cornerstone for industrial progress in the area, strengthening its position as a hub for manufacturing and production.
During the discussions, special emphasis was placed on generating new employment opportunities for the youth and revitalizing industrial growth in the area. A key highlight was the proposal to restart operations at the Dhariwal Woolen Mill, which has the potential to boost local industry and provide numerous job opportunities.
Infrastructure development was another major topic of discussion. The sewerage systems of Dhariwal and Qadian were reviewed, with plans to secure necessary funds for municipal committees to address these needs. Additional schemes aimed at enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the cities were also considered, reflecting a commitment to urban beautification.
Electricity infrastructure for rural areas was another focal point of the meeting. Plans to establish a 66 KV Power Station in Village Mulanwal, located in Block Kahnuwan, were discussed as a step toward providing reliable electricity to surrounding villages. Furthermore, progress on a solar energy project spanning 100 acres in Village Beri was also reviewed. This initiative is expected to promote renewable energy sources and contribute to sustainable development in the region.
In line with promoting clean and green energy, the establishment of a biogas plant in the area was also brought up. This project aims to encourage eco-friendly energy solutions while addressing local energy needs, disclosed Jagroop Singh Sekhwan
Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora expressed a positive attitude toward all the proposed projects and assured full support for their timely implementation. Jagroop Singh Sekhwan shared that the Minister’s encouragement has provided hope for swift progress on these initiatives, which are expected to bring significant benefits to the region.
