Dr Meenakshi Dhingra assumes Charge as Civil Surgeon, Ferozepur
Ferozepur, April 16, 2026: Dr Meenakshi Dhingra has officially taken charge as the Civil Surgeon of Ferozepur. On the occasion, all programme officers and staff of the Civil Surgeon’s office extended a warm welcome to her by presenting a bouquet.
Before this appointment, Dr Dhingra served in various capacities, delivering quality healthcare services to the public. She has also held the position of District Immunisation Officer. The Punjab Government has now promoted her and entrusted her with the responsibility of Civil Surgeon, Ferozepur.
After assuming office, Dr Dhingra stated that her primary objective is to ensure the effective implementation of all government health schemes in the public interest. She emphasized providing quality healthcare services to citizens through Aam Aadmi Clinics and government hospitals.
Issuing a stern warning against food adulteration, she said that any form of adulteration in food items will not be tolerated, and strict measures will be taken to ensure safe and pure consumables for the public.
She further added that the Health Department will intensify awareness campaigns about the harmful effects of drug abuse, and all necessary steps will be taken to ensure proper treatment of patients at de-addiction centres. Special priority will be given to women, elderly patients, and children in government hospitals.
Dr. Dhingra also assured that arrangements will be strengthened so that patients visiting government health institutions in Ferozepur do not have to incur out-of-pocket expenses for their treatment.
