MLA Bhullar encourages students under ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign
Ferozepur, October 29, 2025: A district-level dance and painting competitions focusing on the culture of Andhra Pradesh was organized at M.L.M. Senior Secondary School, Ferozepur, as part of the ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ campaign, under the directions of the Punjab State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
MLA Ranbir Singh Bhullar attended the event as the chief guest and encouraged the participating students. The competitions were organised under the supervision of District Education Officer (Secondary) Mrs Manila Arora, Deputy DEO (Secondary) Dr Satinder Singh, and District Nodal Officer  Ashwinder Singh Brar.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Bhullar said such competitions help strengthen the spirit of “Unity in Diversity” and familiarise students with the cultural heritage of different Indian states. He congratulated the participants and appreciated the efforts of the Punjab School Education Department for organising this meaningful event. He added that the Punjab Government has been striving since day one to improve education and healthcare standards, and the positive results are visible across the state.
Students showcased the rich traditions, folk dances, and art of Andhra Pradesh vibrantly. The audience was mesmerised by performances of the state’s famous Kuchipudi dance and other folk forms. In the painting competition, students depicted the colourful cultural essence of Andhra Pradesh through creative artworks.
In the results, Harmanpreet Kaur (Government Middle School, Rasulpur) and Khushi (Government Senior Secondary School, Kassoana) won positions in folk dance, while Jashanpreet Kaur (Government High School, Jhok Harihar) and Government Senior Secondary School, Bare Ke secured top places in painting. The winners were honoured by the chief guest.
An exhibition of student artworks was also organised on this occasion. School heads, teachers, and students participated enthusiastically, making the event a grand success.
The stage was effectively conducted by State Awardee Ravi Inder Singh, while Principal Sudhir Dhawan, Sarbjit Kaur, Varinder Singh, Inderdeep Singh, and Deepak Mathpal extended special support for the program.
Prominent attendees included Raj Bahadur Singh Gill, Himanshu Thakkar, Rajni Jagga (Assistant District Nodal Officer), judges Gurinder Singh, Rahul, Manpreet Kaur, Lov Kumar, Paramjit Kaur, Sukhchain Singh (Steno), Inderdeep Singh, Sandeep Babbar, and Amit Narang.
