New Delhi, November 28, 2025:In a major breakthrough, the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested Bandhu Man Singh Sekhon, a key conspirator involved in the series of shootings at comedian Kapil Sharma’s KAP’s Cafe in Surrey, Canada. Sekhon is believed to be an important handler of the Goldy Dhillon–Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Acting on intelligence inputs, the Crime Branch traced and apprehended Sekhon from Delhi, where he had been hiding after fleeing India following the attacks.
Police officials revealed that Sekhon had coordinated the entire operation from logistics to shooter support, working closely with gang members based in Canada.
During the arrest, police recovered a PX-3 high-end Chinese-made pistol along with eight live cartridges. Investigators say Sekhon has long served as a crucial link between gangsters operating in India and Canada, and is involved in multiple cases of extortion, firing, and criminal conspiracy.
Kapil Sharma’s café has faced three firing incidents this year:
- July 10: Attackers fired nine rounds; Khalistani extremist Harjit Singh Ladi claimed responsibility.
- August 7: Six bullet marks were found on the café windows.
- October 18: Goldy Dhillon and Kulveer Sidhu Nepali claimed responsibility through a social media post.
