  Chandigarh, March 22, 2026: Protests broke out in the city following the suicide of Punjab Warehouse officer Gagandeep Randhawa, with leaders from the Shiromani Akali Dal, Bharatiya Janata Party, and Indian National Congress taking part in demonstrations.
  
  As tensions escalated, the Chandigarh Police used water cannons to disperse the protesters and bring the situation under control.
