Bhagwant Mann inducts Amritsar leader, supporters into party

Chandigarh, March 21, 2026: In a significant political development, Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) leader Sarwan Singh Munim, District President of the BC Wing in Amritsar, joined the Aam Aadmi Party along with his supporters on Saturday.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann formally inducted Munim into the party in the presence of Majitha constituency in-charge Talbir Singh Gill.
Welcoming the new entrants, Mann said that people across Punjab are increasingly placing their trust in AAP’s governance and welfare policies. He added that leaders from other parties are joining AAP, influenced by its work in education, healthcare, and public services.
Several local leaders from the Majitha constituency, including Narinder Singh, Kulwant Rai Sunder, Vijay Kumar Bhandari, Harmeet Singh, and Parmjeet Singh Prem, also joined the party during the event.
Munim expressed confidence in Mann’s leadership and said he was inspired by the government’s focus on transparent governance and development. He assured that he and his supporters would work to strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
