Sukhchain Singh Khehra has been appointed Administrative Officer-2 (ADO-2) by the Secretariat Administration and has assumed charge at Punjab Civil Secretariat-2, triggering a wave of congratulations from officers, staff and employee union leaders.
Khehra said he will discharge the responsibility entrusted by the government with full diligence and commitment.
Leaders from multiple staff bodies congratulated him at the Secretariat, including Punjab Secretariat Personal Staff Association and Secretariat Sahit Sabha president Malkiat Singh Aujla, who termed the choice for this key role apt and timely.
Joint Action Committee and Sahit Sabha patron Parmdeep Singh Bhabat (Under Secretary) also described Khehra as a capable and responsible officer, while Under Secretary Devinder Singh Jugni and Paramjit Singh Mudho expressed their best wishes.
Artists and officials such as bhangra and boli performer Bhupinder Singh Jhajj (Superintendent) and Jagjiondiyaan De Mele group lead Jaspreet Randhawa also met Khehra to convey greetings and share in the celebration.
Khehra, who serves as president of the Secretariat Joint Action Committee, is known for consistently voicing legitimate employee demands, engaging with state-level unions, and leading from the front during challenging phases, which colleagues said makes the Secretariat proud.
