Fighting Covid-19 in Sangrur, No mask, no sale of fuel at petrol pumps and other items at shops
Sangrur, March 18, 2021: In order to ensure the safety of employees at the various establishment including the petrol pumps and the general public, from the spread of coronavirus, SSP Sangrur Vivek Sheel Soni said, an initiative has been taken to contribute in the anti-corona campaign by directing all the petrol pumps and shops not to sell fuel and other items, to those customers without a mask in view of coronavirus pandemic. All establishments have also been asked to display the placards – enter by wearing a mask.
He said, the petrol pumps are open 365 days a year and 24x7 being the essential services and the staff is in constant contact with the customers and in view of the increase in corona cases in the State, wearing of a mask is the first precautionary measure to put a check on the spread of coronavirus.
All the petrol pumps have been directed to display the warning for entering the petrol pump only by wearing the mask and ensure that no petrol or diesel is sold to any person who is not wearing a mask, he added.
SSP said, only with the collective efforts by following the Covid-19 guidelines, by the health department from time to time, we can win over the coronavirus which has an alarming impact not only in India but at the global level.
