Managing Editor of Financial Express dies of Corona
New Delhi, May 16, 2021: Editor of Financial Express Sunil Jain passed away after struggling with Corona since last few days. He was 58 and is survived by his wife Namita and son Abhinav.
News of his demise was shared by his sister.
He was admitted in AIIMS and was convinced that his treatment will be done as he had tweeted, “Thank you everyone for all the help I don’t even know whom all to thank. Am in AIIMS emergency now. So I’m safe hands.” This was his last tweet.
Meanwhile, President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have condoled demise of Sunil Jain.
In his message, President Ram Nath Kovind said Jain was known for his candour and forthright views. “It was a treat to read his columns. After his untimely demise, his absence will be deeply felt in the world of journalism. My condolences to his family and friends.”
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted, “ou left us too soon, Sunil Jain. I will miss reading your columns and hearing your frank as well as insightful views on diverse matters. You leave behind an inspiring range of work. Journalism is poorer today, with your sad demise. Condolences to family and friends. Om Shanti.”
