Ferozepur LS Polls: 16.70 lac voters to exercise right to vote on June 1: Dhiman
Ferozepur, May 21, 2024: A total of 16,70,008 voters will exercise their right to vote in Lok Sabha constituency Ferozepur during the polls to be held on June 1 for Lok Sabha elections 2024. A total of 1903 polling stations have been designed and all the preliminary preparations are complete. Apart from this, the observers appointed by the Election Commission have also come to Lok Sabha Constituency-10 Ferozepur, under whose supervision the entire election work is being done.
Giving information about voters in Lok Sabha Constituency-10 Ferozepur, Returning Officer Rajesh Dhiman said that there are a total of 16,70,008 voters in this Lok Sabha Constituency, out of which 8,80,617 are male, 7,89,343 are female and 48 are voters belonging to the third gender.
He said that there are a total of 1,75,981 voters in Ferozpur Urban-76 of District Ferozepur in Lok Sabha Constituency, including 94,084 men, 81,892 women and 05 voters belonging to the third gender. There are a total of 195,569 voters in Ferozepur Rural-77, of which 103,383 are male, 92,179 are female and 7 are third-gender voters. There are a total of 1,71,673 voters in Vidhan Sabha Constituency Guruharsahai-78, including 89,318 male, 82,347 female and 08 third gender voters.
Similarly, there are a total of 2,13,903 voters in Jalalabad-79 of District Fazilka in Lok Sabha Constituency Ferozepur, of which 1,11,282 are male, 1,02,617 are female and 4 are voters of the third gender. Fazilka-80 assembly constituency has a total of 1,80,910 voters, of which 94,436 are male, 86,466 are female and 08 are third-gender voters. Abohar-81 Assembly Constituency has a total of 1,82,737 voters, of which 97,171 are male, 85,560 are female and 6 are third-gender voters. Balluana-82 assembly constituency has a total of 1,86,073 voters, including 99,638 male, 86,435 female and 0 third-gender voters.
Similarly, there are a total of 1,76,063 voters in Vidhan Sabha Constituency Malot-85 of District Sri Muktsar Sahib in Ferozepur Lok Sabha Constituency, of which 92,985 are male, 83,070 are female and 08 are voters of the third sex. Vidhan Sabha Constituency Sri Muktsar-86 has a total of 1,87,099 voters, including 98,320 male, 88,777 female and 02 third gender voters.
He further informed that a total of 1903 polling stations will be set up, to ensure the exercise of the right toEco-Friendly vote by every voter in the Lok Sabha Constituency, out of which a total of 211 polling stations in Ferozepur Urban-76 Vidhan Sabha Constituency. 242 in Ferozepur Rural-77, 218 in Vidhan Sabha Constituency Guruharsahai-78, 251 in Vidhan Sabha Constituency Jalalabad-79, 212 in Vidhan Sabha Constituency Fazilka-80, Vidhan Sabha Constituency Abohar-81 A total of 177, 189 polling stations in Balluana-82, 190 in Malot-85, 213 polling stations in Sri Muktsar-86 have been established. He said that 50 Model Polling Stations, 15 Green/Eco Friendly Polling Stations, 12 Disabled (PWD) Polling Stations, 12 Youth Polling Stations and 15 Women Polling Stations have also been set up in Lok Sabha constituencies to encourage voters.
He also said that the Election Commission of India has given the facility to vote at home to the elderly and disabled people above 85 years of age. He said that if an elderly or disabled person wants to sit and vote at home, the BLOs will go to their house from May 25 to 27 and provide Form D along with Form D. After taking consent, they will vote through ballot papers. He appealed to the voters that given the hot weather, the voters should cast their vote in the morning to exercise their right to vote.
