CM’s Yoga Shala brings wellness to Ferozepur residents with 95 free daily sessions
Ferozepur, May 8, 2025: Under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the state government launched the “CM di Yogshala” initiative in October 2023 to promote physical and mental well-being. The project is receiving an overwhelming response in Ferozepur, where nearly 3,500 people benefit from over 95 free yoga classes held across the district daily.
Deputy Commissioner Deepashikha Sharma shared that these sessions are conducted both in the morning and evening by certified yoga trainers appointed by the Punjab Government, with no fees charged to participants. She encouraged residents to incorporate yoga into their daily routines for a healthier lifestyle, stating that "a disease-free body is life’s greatest wealth."
District Coordinator of CM di Yogshala, Amanpreet Kaur, informed that 17 trainers are actively conducting classes in various tehsils, blocks, and villages of Ferozepur. Along with teaching yoga, they are raising awareness about its health benefits, healthy eating habits, and overall wellness.
Residents of all age groups—including children, youth, women, and the elderly—are enthusiastically participating. Those interested in organising a free yoga session in their locality can form a group of 25 members and give a missed call to 76694-00500 or call 78888-40115.
