Amritsar (Punjab), October 7, 2025: Giani Kuldip Singh Gargaj, Officiating Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, has extended heartfelt greetings to the global Sikh community on the auspicious occasion of the Parkash Gurpurab of the Fourth Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Ramdas Ji.
Jathedar Gargaj said that Sri Guru Ramdas Ji, through his selfless devotion and service to Sri Guru Amardas Ji, embodied the true essence of Sikh values — humility, faith, and dedication. Despite being closely related to the Third Guru, Guru Ramdas Ji attained the divine light of Guruship through deep spiritual discipline and unwavering commitment, becoming the fourth successor of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s divine mission.
Highlighting Guru Ramdas Ji’s contributions, Jathedar Gargajj said that the Fourth Guru composed Gurbani in thirty ragas, teaching humanity the path of divine love, service, unity, and spiritual devotion. He added that Guru Ramdas Ji founded the holy city of Amritsar and established fifty-two trades and professions there, while also constructing the sacred Amrit Sarovar — where devotees of all backgrounds continue to receive divine blessings free from discrimination.
Calling upon the Sikh Sangat to follow the teachings of Guru Ramdas Ji, Jathedar Gargajj urged everyone to embrace sewa (selfless service), humility, and dedication for the unity and welfare of the Panth and all humanity. He emphasized that Sikhs must live by the ideals of Gurbani and Bana and inspire the younger generations to remain connected with Gurmat and Sikh principles.
