  New Delhi, October 20, 2025: BJP National Spokesman RP Singh has said that he has not celebrated Diwali since 2022 and will not do so until bandi sikh Davinderpal Singh Bhullar is released.
  
  In a tweet he said that Bhullar has spent 28 years in Jail and is undergoing treatment at Government hospital in Amritsar. He urged Delhi Chief Minister to keeping in view his mental health and deteriorating health status she should recommend his release.
  
  ਮੈਂ 2022 ਤੋਂ ਦਿਵਾਲੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਨਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਨਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ
  ਮਾਨਸਿਕ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਪੀੜਤ ਦੇਵਿੰਦਰਪਾਲ ਸਿੰਘ ਭੁੱਲਰ ਪਿਛਲੇ 28 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੇਲ੍ਹ ਵਿਚ ਬੰਦ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਛਲੇ 14 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਹਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿਚ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
