Breaking: Major CBI raid in Patiala linked to suspended DIG Bhullar Case

Patiala (Punjab), November 4, 2025:In a major development in the ongoing bribery and disproportionate assets case involving suspended Punjab DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) conducted a raid at the residence of prominent Patiala-based real estate businessman Bhupinder Singh, owner of BH Properties.
According to sources, the CBI team arrived at Bhupinder Singh’s Patiala residence early Tuesday morning and carried out an extensive search operation. During the raid, the premises were sealed off, restricting any entry or exit. So far, officials have not issued any official statement regarding the operation.
Sources revealed that the name of BH Properties surfaced during CBI interrogation and earlier searches conducted in the Bhullar case. The real estate firm is well-known for handling major projects in Patiala and Mohali. It is also believed that Bhupinder Singh maintains close ties with several senior politicians and bureaucrats in Patiala and Chandigarh.
Former DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar was arrested by the CBI on October 16 for allegedly accepting a bribe of ₹8 lakh. Subsequent raids on his residences and other properties led to the recovery of ₹7.5 crore in cash, 2.5 kilograms of gold jewellery, 26 luxury watches, several high-end cars, 100 litres of liquor, and documents related to over 50 immovable properties.
