Punjab CS KAP Sinha reviews preparations for Shaheedi Shatabdi Samagam at Sri Anandpur Sahib
Departments told to ensure seamless arrangements for devotees; drone and light-and-sound shows planned

Punjab Chief Secretary KAP Sinha reviewed arrangements for the Shaheedi Shatabdi Samagam of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji at Sri Anandpur Sahib and directed all departments to ensure timely completion of facilities for devotees, including mobility, lodging, and public convenience services.
As per the schedule, four Nagar Kirtans will arrive at Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22, while the Akhand Path Sahib will commence on November 23 at Guru Ka Chhaoni (Buddha Dal), alongside a Sarv Dharam Sammelan attended by the Chief Minister.
A 500‑drone show will depict Guru Sahib’s life, teachings, and supreme sacrifice every evening from November 23 to 29, complemented by a Light and Sound Show at Charan Ganga Stadium on November 20 and the Bhog of Akhand Path Sahib on November 25.
The state will also curate guided tours and heritage walks to highlight historical sites, and the Chief Minister, Cabinet Ministers, and MLAs will participate in the Sees Bhent Nagar Kirtan from Gurdwara Bibangarh Sahib to Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib on November 24.
A special session of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha is slated for November 24 at the Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial, with the administration expediting works on the Tent City and road repairs leading to Guru Nagari to manage the expected footfall.
Sinha said the government aims to make the Shaheedi Shatabdi Samagam historic and memorable by ensuring a safe, convenient, and spiritually enriching experience for every devotee, asking officials to work in a spirit of sewa and leave no stone unturned.
At a review meeting in the Virasat‑e‑Khalsa conference hall, Tourism Secretary Abhinav Trikha briefed the Chief Secretary on preparations, while Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia detailed district‑level readiness in Sri Anandpur Sahib.
Senior officials present included Additional Chief Secretary (Sports) Saravjit Singh, Special Chief Secretary (Local Govt) Tejvir Singh, Additional Chief Secretary (Parliamentary Affairs) D.K. Tiwari, Secretary (Tourism) Abhinav Trikha, Secretary (Public Relations) and Punjab Mandi Board Ramvir, DGP (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla, Deputy Commissioner Varjeet Walia, SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana, and other officers associated with logistics, culture, and public amenities.
