Railway honours 14 employees with Safety Awards for dedication and alertness on duty
Ferozepur, January 6, 2026: Fourteen railway employees of Ferozepur Division were felicitated with Safety Awards for their outstanding contribution to safe railway operations during November, December 2025 and January 2026. The employees were commended for their dedication, presence of mind and prompt action in ensuring rail safety.
The awards highlight the vigilance, alertness and commitment towards safety displayed by employees from various departments of the division. Their exemplary efforts played a significant role in the safe operation of trains, maintenance of tracks and protection of passengers.
The employees honoured include Gurmeet Singh (Junior Engineer), Vikash Kumar (Technician-I), Surya Kumar Kesari (Senior Section Engineer), Sachin Kumar (Pointsman), Avadhesh Kumar Yadav (Technician-I), Bhawani Singh (Station Master), Yashodanand Kushwaha (Train Manager), Sandeep Kumar (Gateman), Rakesh Saini (Technician-I), Gurmeet Singh (Pointsman), Amar Rawat (Pointsman), Boota Singh (Pointsman), Ravi (Gateman) and Lakhbir Singh (Track Maintainer).
Divisional Railway Manager Sanjeev Kumar stated that the awards are meant to recognize and encourage good work by employees. He added that such recognition would motivate other staff members to perform their duties with greater alertness and responsibility. He also reaffirmed that efforts to maintain and enhance safety standards in Firozpur Division would continue in the future.
On the occasion, Additional Divisional Railway Manager Nitin Garg, Senior Divisional Engineer/Coordination Sumit Khullar, Senior Divisional Safety Officer Rohit Verma, Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer Bhupendra, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Paramdeep Singh Saini, Senior Divisional Operations Manager Gurusharan Pathak, Divisional Engineer/Headquarters Akashdeep Singh, along with other officers, were present.
