Chandigarh, January 14, 2026:The Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) has announced the online auction of 42 prime properties with a combined value of ₹5,460 crore, marking its first mega auction of 2026. The e-auction will be conducted from January 14 to February 11, Punjab Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian said on Wednesday.
The properties on offer include residential plots, Shop-cum-Offices (SCOs), mixed land-use sites, group housing plots, and land earmarked for hospitals and hotels.
The auction is part of the Bhagwant Mann government’s broader strategy to promote planned urban development while widening access to property ownership for homebuyers, entrepreneurs, and institutional investors.
Addressing a press conference, Mundian said that GMADA has rationalised reserve prices in line with recent Cabinet decisions to ensure greater participation across sections of society.
He stated that the move aims to make property purchases more accessible and to support both residential and commercial aspirations.
The minister said the selected sites are located in prime urban areas of Mohali and are well connected to major transport infrastructure, including the international airport, railway station, and arterial road networks. He added that the state government’s investor-friendly policies have led to consistent participation in previous e-auctions conducted by development authorities.
Emphasising transparency, Mundian said the entire auction process would be conducted online. Detailed information regarding eligibility, payment schedules, terms and conditions, and site specifications is available on the official portal puda.enivida.com.
Prospective bidders can participate after completing registration on the portal. GMADA has also set up a dedicated email helpdesk at invest.gmada@punjab.gov.in to address queries related to the auction.
According to the minister, revenue generated through the auction will be utilised to further strengthen urban infrastructure and development projects within the GMADA region.
