328 Missing Saroop case: Jathedar Akal Takht directs state government to include only baptized Sikh officers in SIT

Amritsar, February 9, 2026: Giani Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj acting Jathedar Akal Takht Sahib has directed Punjab Government to include only baptized Sikh officers in Special Investigation Team (SIT) which is probing 328 Missing saroop case.
Talking to media here today, Jathedar Gadgaj said that the present SIT team members have violated maryada while probing the matter. He directed the government to include baptized Sikh officers in the SIT.
He also direct members of Sikh community to not to throw gulal during hola mohalla celebrations. He also responded to RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat and said that Sikh is a different and unique community.
He also demanded that an FIR should be registered against all those officials who are responsible for getting Kara of Sikh students removed during an exam in Bathinda. He said that this is Punjab and if are not entitled to wear Sikh Kakkars here, how can we raise voice at National and International level about it.
