“Mission Prerna” launched in Ferozepur to help students stay stress-free during exams
Ferozepur, February 16, 2026:
With the objective of keeping students stress-free during examinations and motivating them for systematic preparation, the Secondary Education Department, Ferozepur, has launched a special initiative titled “Mission Prerna.” The programme was formally initiated under the leadership of District Education Officer (Secondary) Munila Arora and Deputy District Education Officer (Secondary) Dr Satinder Singh. Teachers Gurpreet Singh, Gurdev Singh and Sandeep Kumar were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the gathering, Ms Munila Arora said that examinations are an important part of student life and serve as a true assessment of their year-long hard work. Extending best wishes to all students appearing in the board examinations, she expressed confidence that with dedication, perseverance and proper guidance from teachers, students would achieve great success. She also appreciated the initiative taken under Mission Prerna, calling it highly beneficial and inspiring for students.
Dr Satinder Singh highlighted that increasing exam-related stress among students has become a serious concern, sometimes leading to extreme and wrong decisions. To address this issue, he said that under Mission Prerna, motivational articles written by education experts, psychologists and medical professionals will be shared daily. These will focus on stress-free exam preparation, health care, time management and making studies more engaging.
All school heads in the district have been instructed to ensure that these articles reach maximum students through morning assemblies, notice boards and social media platforms.
Supporting teachers stated that this initiative is being seen as a significant step towards boosting students’ self-confidence and encouraging them to view examinations as a celebration rather than a source of fear.
