Day 2 of Rose Festival: Rose Prince & Princess crowned, Qawwali wows crowd; Watch Video

Chandigarh, February 21, 2026: Cultural function, performances and competitions marked the 2nd day of the three-day Chandigarh Rose Festival at Rose Garden, sector 16, Chandigarh with the Rose Prince & Rose Princess competitions, Quwaali performance and old filmy numbers.
Quwaali performance arranged by Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademy and Old filmy numbers by AR Melody just enthralled the audience by their performance on the main stage at Rose Garden, Sector 16, Chandigarh.

There were many attractions of this day which started with the Rose Prince and Rose Princess and then the Rose King & Rose Queen, Mr. Rose Miss. Rose competitions & Rose Quiz, Kite flying show, Senior Citizens Bhangra, Bollywood star cast by TV serial artists, Singing competitions etc. After all this various cultural programmes were performed by various dances groups from various sides of our country.
The main attractions of the day was the Mr. and Miss. Rose competition that took place in the Rose Garden. In addition to that various cultural programmes were organized by the artists of North Zone Culture Centre (NZCC) and other local artists from schools and colleges. Different competitions and shows including traditional Folk dance of Punjab (Bhangra), traditional Folk Dance Nagada and traditional Folk Dance of Rajasthan (Ghoomar) were also organized during the second day.
Sh. H. Rajesh Prasad, IAS, Chief Secretary, UT, Chandigarh will distribute prizes to the winners of different competitions held during the 54th Rose Festival on 22nd February, 2026 (Sunday) at 3.00 pm in the presence of Sh. Saurabh Joshi, City Mayor and Sh. Pardeep Kumar, IAS, Special Commissioner, MC, Chandigarh.
