A meeting was held today at Block Bathinda under the chairmanship of Chief Agriculture Officer Dr. Harbans Singh Sidhu, Bathinda, with all the dealers of the Pesticides Association Bathinda. On this occasion, the Assistant Plant Protection Officer, Agriculture Officer Block Bathinda, and Team Bathinda were also present.
During the meeting, serious discussions were held regarding the rumors being spread about the shortage of urea and DAP. The officials stated that farmers need not panic, and the availability of fertilizers is being ensured.
On this occasion, the Chief Agriculture Officer said that all dealers must strictly follow government regulations regarding the stock and sale of fertilizers, seeds, and pesticides. Any kind of black marketing or tagging will not be tolerated. He strictly instructed the dealers to ensure transparent and fair distribution of fertilizers to farmers.
He also warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the rules. During the meeting, it was also informed that the Agriculture Department is closely monitoring the situation and all possible steps will be taken to safeguard the interests of farmers.
