Indian MP and Trident Group Chairman Rajinder Gupta Set for Third Heart Surgery in US

Rajinder Gupta, Chairman Emeritus of Trident Group and a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, is currently in the United States and is likely to undergo his third major heart surgery in the coming days.
According to sources close to the family, Gupta had travelled to the globally renowned Cleveland Clinic for a routine medical check-up. However, following a detailed evaluation, doctors have advised a fresh cardiac procedure, which is expected to be performed early next week.
He is likely to remain in the United States for around three weeks to undergo the surgery and complete his recovery.
Family members, including his wife, son and daughter, are present in the US to support him during this period. Sources further confirmed that the Consulate General of India is in touch with the family and is extending all necessary assistance.
This will be Gupta’s third major cardiac surgery, with earlier procedures carried out in 2002 and 2009.
Meanwhile, wishes for his speedy recovery are pouring in from across the country and overseas, including from prominent figures in politics, bureaucracy, the judiciary, sports, media, academia, and the business community.
