Tarn Taran Police arrest 2 accused after exchange of fire, illegal arms seized

Tarn Taran (Punjab), April 19, 2026: In a special operation, Tarn Taran Police apprehended two accused persons following an exchange of fire, recovering illegal weapons and a motorcycle from their possession.
According to police officials, the accused were allegedly involved in multiple criminal activities, including firing incidents and attempted murder cases linked to extortion.
During the operation, both accused sustained injuries and are currently undergoing treatment in a hospital under police security.
Officials said the recovery of two illegal weapons and a motorcycle marks a significant breakthrough in ongoing efforts to curb organised crime and maintain law and order in the region. Further investigation is underway.
